Our lives and some of the highlights we think we remember...
(each year chronicled from march to march, we highly recommend adding comments about things we've failed to mention due to dual ailments of "no-mental-replay syndrome" and we just returned from a celebratory bar visit.)

March 17th, 1999 - March 17th, 2000
we meet for the first time at Maxwell's Plum, Halifax, NS
kc graduates from NSCAD, visits NYC with Marilee, dad, brother, and alison, moves back to Vancouver, travels to Africa 3months
jc attends NSCAD, works at Knowledge House

March 17th, 2000 - March 17th, 2001
jc graduates, kc returns to Halifax from Africa, jc + kc go to Europe (1month), then return to Maine (stay 5 months!), move to Boston to 1bd apt on Mass Ave
Grampa Cole dies
jc job at ScreenHouse (nov)
kc unemployed - sucks bad, but pal Caelen had Leif, chats daily with merl
jc + kc spend Christmas '00 apart
Asshole GWB gets elected - nation shocked and horrified

kc gets job at wgbh
jc continues to work at screenhouse
George the ferret goes to pet heaven
Meggo grad from nscad
We bought our first big piece of furniture - traumatic and exciting: a purple couch
Bought a cd shelf, put in it the back of taxi and re-ordered jc's cds alphabetically
many visitors: jonathan, seth, jake, aubrey and nagean, marilee (someone in boston asked if we were Irish because of our accents), mum and dad, madre y padre, preston and raina, alison and shannon (+2 black labs), others...
sept 11, 2001 (my parents left boston sept 10th, madre in florida visiting raina)

bought our first digital camera
jc gets laid off from screenhouse jan 15

jc starts blogging july 4th
kc sees first moose in NH

Padre turns 50 (march)
Raina graduates from Ringling (may) in Florida
Adam and Meghan get married (aug) in Halifax - jc is best man
the next weekend in Vancouver...
Alison and Scott get married - kc maid of honour

jc gets job at Simmons in Fall 2003
Christmas 03 in Vancouver

March 17th, 2004 - March 17th, 2005
Preston and Raina get married July
Jojo married sept
Trip to NYC sept, with rick and merl
heart-wrenching "misinformed maine suicide trip"
Oct. 27: Red Sox win world series (lunar eclipse)
Dad (kc) turns 60th - kc + jc surprise visit to Vancouver
GWB gets elected again!!! lord save us all... depression sweeps over N. America and entire world.

Gramma Lil dies Jan 15
Mexico Trip for kc's 30th (feb)

kc still workin' at gbh, jc still at simmons
Madre turns 50 (july)
risky (?) move to pittsburgh (jc + kc keep jobs and work remotely)
jc studies for gres, makes portfolio, writes kick-ass awesome letter and applies to cmu
Graham arrives dec
Christmas 05 in Vancouver
jc accepted to cmu (most memorable moment)

kc work til end of june for gbh
jc work til end of july for simmons but stays on 'contract'

Raina and Preston buy house

jc start at CMU (aug)
Alexandra arrives aug
SF - kc interviews at Google, celebrate jc's bday, mum and dad join us there
Olan arrives oct
kc hired at maya
Alison + Raina pregnant
Ivy arrives Jan
mum turns 60

All these thoughts were recorded on a napkin tonight:
7:35 at the Squirrel Cage on St Paddy's Day, still light out, snow on the ground, we had no heat in the apt today (had it fixed!) last weekend of jc's spring break.
