When most folks think of African music, the first thing that comes to mind is that white-washed crap that Paul Simon introduced to America more 20 years ago. Thankfully, things seem to be changing. With the rise in popularity of Ali Farka Touré, The Ensemble Tartit and other "Desert Blues" acts, quality African music is getting easier to find. This week I am offering up two tracks from two slightly less-known West African performers, Alhaji K. Frimpong from Mali and N'Gou Bagayoko from Ghana. Hopefully you dig them as much as I do.
